The near-universal adoption of smartphones, tablets and touch-screen devices has changed the way in which society accesses information and as a result, businesses are looking for new and innovative ways in which to promote their products and services, according to Ashley D’Souza of AMP House based firm Quintessence.
“The way in which brands have undertaken marketing and the way in which organisations interact with their customers has changed dramatically over the last decade,” he says.
“As mobile technology and smartphones have become ubiquitous, we have witnessed a transformation in the way that business communication is undertaken. It is far more interactive these days and it was inevitable that brands would begin to promote themselves using techniques and technology that are familiar with their audiences,” he adds.
Quintessence has been at the forefront of this transformation and has seen a huge success in providing businesses with cutting edge solutions helping them to present their products and services in an easy to use and interactive fashion.
“We enable businesses to communicate with their audiences via interactive presentations and experiences. These might be used at conferences and exhibitions or within a sales environment or in a reception area. They can be used for visualisations, simulations or simply for browsing a product, service or a location,” explains Rob Bosher who established the business around ten years ago with the aim of producing touchscreens for property marketing suites.
While the real estate market is still an important focus for the business, its market has grown and Quintessence interactive screens are also to be found in shops, banks and hotels.
“While technology can be scary, we provide an innovative solution that is user-friendly and logical. In the property world, it allows potential occupiers to explore and view the developments they will one day be living and working in,” he adds.
One of the property schemes that is utilising Quintessence’s technology is Croydon’s own Ruskin Square and the development’s marketing suite, on the 11th floor of AMP House features a video wall that allows potential occupiers to visualise the future plans for the important regeneration of this key location.

Four years after it was first announced the Legacy Youth Zone in Whitehorse Road in Thornton Heath will finally open its doors young people, from Croydon and across South London, in September – giving them access to a 25,000 sq ft, purpose-built, youth facility.
Its story is one of overcoming challenges and is a tale in which AMP House has played a big part.
“The centre is the result of much hard work and contributions from the many organisations and businesses that have helped us since plans were first announced in 2015. We are grateful to so many people and among these are the team at AMP House,” said Barnabas Shelbourne, the Chief Executive of Legacy Youth Zone, part of the OnSide Youth Zones network.
“When I first came to Croydon in 2018 to begin the process of building the charity’s team of managers, staff and volunteers, I knew I had to be in the town, meeting with people and businesses. For several weeks, I was working in my car and from coffee shops. I had nowhere else I could operate from,” he added.
By chance, Barnabas had a conversation with Andrew Bauer of the Whitgift Shopping Centre, who was able to introduce him to Sarah Cusack, the marketing and lettings manager at AMP House Serviced Offices, who was able to provide the charity with the office space it so badly needed in order to administer the project.
“AMP House has been a lifesaver for us,” he said, adding: “Nothing is too much trouble for the team and the community spirit within the building has provided us with so much support. There is a real sense of belonging here and it is clear that the building’s owners, care deeply about the town and the part that AMP House and the ongoing regeneration of Ruskin Square Real Estate will play in the future success of Croydon, its businesses and community.”
The Legacy Youth Zone team has grown significantly since its humble beginnings and, when it relocates to the new centre in a few weeks’ time, its team of 18 members of staff will say goodbye to AMP House.
As well as a great place to meet and make new friends, the centre will provide its members with the opportunity to participate in sports, leisure activities, seek impartial advice, get support and learn new skills that will help them fulfil their potential. The new centre will offer activities including sports such as rock climbing, boxing, martial arts, football and racket sports alongside dance and drama, music and activities in the centre’s own media studio.
“Our experience shows that youth centres like Legacy Youth Zone bring huge benefits to young people and the wider communities that they live in and when we open our doors for the first time in September we will be able to transform the lives of thousands of young people in South London,” said Barnabas.

AMP House reserves the right to make changes the Terms from time to time, for example to address changes to the law or regulatory changes or changes to functionality offered through the Service. Therefore you must look at the Terms regularly to check for such changes. The modified version of the Terms (the “Modified Terms”) will be posted at terms or made available within the Service (for any modified additional terms). M. You shall not copy, reproduce, distribute, transmit, broadcast, display, sell, license, or otherwise exploit any Content for any other purposes without the prior written consent of AMP House or the respective licensors of the Content.

AMP House does not endorse any Content or any opinion, recommendation, or advice expressed therein, and AMP House expressly disclaims any and all liability in connection with Content.
7.4 You represent and warrant that you have (and will continue to have during your use of the Service) all necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions which are required to enable AMP House to use your Content for the purposes of the provision of the Service by AMP House, and otherwise to use your Content in the manner contemplated by the Service and these Terms.
7.5 You agree that your conduct on the site will comply with (and you agree that the content of all of your Content shall comply with) the AMP House Community Guidelines, as updated from time to time.
7.6 You agree that you will not post or upload any Content which contains material which it is unlawful for you to possess in the country in which you are resident, or which it would be unlawful for AMP House to use or possess in connection with the provision of the Service.
7.7 You agree that Content you submit to the Service will not contain any third party copyright material, or material that is subject to other third party proprietary rights (including rights of privacy or rights of publicity), unless you have a formal licence or permission from the rightful owner, or are otherwise legally entitled, to post the material in question and to grant AMP House the licence referred to in paragraph 8.1 below.
7.8 On becoming aware of any potential violation of these Terms, AMP House reserves the right (but shall have no obligation) to decide whether Content complies with the content requirements set out in these Terms and may remove such Content and/or terminate a User’s access for uploading Content which is in violation of these Terms at any time, without prior notice and at its sole discretion.
7.9 You further understand and acknowledge that in using the Service, you may be exposed to Content that is factually inaccurate, offensive, indecent, or otherwise objectionable to you. You agree to waive, and hereby do waive, any legal or equitable rights or remedies you have or may have against AMP House with respect to any such Content.

10.4 AMP House encourages you to be aware when you leave the Service and to read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of each other website that you visit.

11.2 If you want to terminate your legal agreement with AMP House, you may do so by (a) notifying AMP House at any time and (b) closing your AMP House account. Your notice should be sent, in writing, to AMP House’s address which is set out at the beginning of these Terms.
11.3 AMP House may at any time terminate its legal agreement with you if:
A. you have breached any provision of the Terms (or have acted in manner which clearly shows that you do not intend to, or are unable to comply with the provisions of the Terms); or
B. AMP House is required to do so by law (for example, where the provision of the Service to you is, or becomes, unlawful); or
and in the case of each of A and B of this clause 11.4 shall, where possible, give reasonable notice of such termination.
11.5 When these Terms come to an end, all of the legal rights, obligations and liabilities that you and AMP House have benefited from, been subject to (or which have accrued over time whilst the Terms have been in force) or which are expressed to continue indefinitely, shall be unaffected by this cessation, and the provisions of paragraph 14.6 shall continue to apply to such rights, obligations and liabilities indefinitely.
12. Exclusion of Warranties
12.1 Nothing in the Terms shall affect any statutory rights that you are always entitled to as a consumer and that you cannot contractually agree to alter or waive.
12.2 The Service is provided “as is” and AMP House makes no warranty or representation to you with respect to them.

13. Limitation of Liability
13.1 Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit AMP House’s liability for losses which may not be lawfully excluded or limited by applicable law.

14. General legal terms
14.1 The Terms constitute the whole legal agreement between you and AMP House and govern your use of the Service and completely replace any prior agreements between you and AMP House in relation to the Service. All other terms of service that AMP House Inc. and any of its subsidiaries may have in place from time to time are expressly excluded from the Terms.
14.2 You agree that AMP House may provide you with notices, including those regarding changes to the Terms, by email, regular mail, or postings on the Service.
14.3 You agree that if AMP House does not exercise or enforce any legal right or remedy which is contained in the Terms (or which AMP House has the benefit of under any applicable law), this will not be taken to be a formal waiver of AMP House’s rights and that those rights or remedies will still be available to AMP House.
14.4 If any court of law, having the jurisdiction to decide on this matter, rules that any provision of these Terms is invalid, then that provision will be removed from the Terms without affecting the rest of the Terms. The remaining provisions of the Terms will continue to be valid and enforceable.
14.5 You acknowledge and agree that each member of the group of companies of which AMP House is a part shall be third party beneficiaries to the Terms and that such other companies shall be entitled to directly enforce, and rely upon, any provision of the Terms which confers a benefit on (or rights in favour of) them. Other than this, no other person or company shall be a third party beneficiary of the Terms.
14.6 The Terms, and your relationship with AMP House under the Terms, shall be governed by English law. You and AMP House agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England to resolve any legal matter arising from the Terms. Notwithstanding this, you agree that AMP House shall still be allowed to apply for injunctive remedies (or other equivalent types of urgent legal remedy) in any jurisdiction.
There are many different ways that you can use our services – to search for and share information, to communicate with other people or to create new content. When you share information with us, for example by creating a AMP House Account, we can make those services even better – to show you more relevant search results and ads, to help you connect with people or to make sharing with others quicker and easier. As you use our services, we want you to be clear how we’re using information and the ways in which you can protect your privacy.
Our Privacy Policy explains:
What information we collect and why we collect it.
How we use that information.
The choices we offer, including how to access and update information.
We’ve tried to keep it as simple as possible, but if you’re not familiar with terms like cookies, IP addresses, pixel tags and browsers, then read about these key terms first. Your privacy matters to AMP House so whether you are new to AMP House or a long-time user, please do take the time to get to know our practices.
Information that we collect
We collect information to provide better services to all of our users – from figuring out the basics, like which language you speak, to more complex things like which ads you’ll find most useful or the people who matter most to you online.
We collect information in two ways:
Information that you give us. For example, many of our services require you to sign up for a AMP House Account. When you do, we’ll ask for personal information, like your name, email address, telephone number or credit card. If you want to take full advantage of the sharing features we offer, we might also ask you to create a publicly visible AMP House Profile, which may include your alias and photo.
Information that we obtain from your use of our services. We may collect information about the services that you use and how you use them, like when you visit a website that uses our advertising services or you view and interact with our ads and content. This information includes:
Device information
We may collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers and mobile network information including phone number). AMP House may associate your device identifiers or phone number with your AMP House Account.
Log information
When you use our services or view content provided by AMP House, we may automatically collect and store certain information inserver logs. This may include:
Location information
When you use a location-enabled AMP House service, we may collect and process information about your actual location, like GPS signals sent by a mobile device. We may also use various technologies to determine location, such as sensor data from your device that may, for example, provide information on nearby Wi-Fi access points and mobile towers.
Unique application numbers
Certain services include a unique application number. This number and information about your installation (for example, the operating system type and application version number) may be sent to AMP House when you install or uninstall that service or when that service periodically contacts our servers, such as for automatic updates.
Local storage
We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.
Cookies and anonymous identifiers
We and our partners use various technologies to collect and store information when you visit a AMP House service, and this may include sending one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers to your device. We also use cookies and anonymous identifiers when you interact with services that we offer to our partners, such as advertising services or AMP House features that may appear on other sites.
How we use information that we collect
We use the information that we collect from all of our services to provide, maintain, protect and improve them, to develop new ones and toprotect AMP House and our users. We also use this information to offer you tailored content – like giving you more relevant search results and ads.
We may use the name that you provide for your AMP House Profile across all of the services we offer as Smart Sports Performance Limited “The company” that require a AMP House Account. In addition, we may replace past names associated with your AMP House Account, so that you are represented consistently across all our services. If other users already have your email or other information that identifies you, we may show them your publicly visible AMP House Profile information, such as your name and photo.
When you contact AMP House, we may keep a record of your communication to help resolve any issues that you might be facing. We may use your email address to inform you about our services, such as letting you know about upcoming changes or improvements.
We use information collected from cookies and other technologies, like pixel tags, to improve your user experience and the overall quality of our services. For example, by saving your language preferences, we’ll be able to have our services appear in the language you prefer. When showing you tailored ads, we will not associate a cookie or anonymous identifier with sensitive categories, such as those based on race, religion, sexual orientation or health.
We may combine personal information from one service with information, including personal information, from other AMP House services – for example, to make it easier to share things with people you know. We will not combine DoubleClick cookie information with personally identifiable information unless we have your opt-in consent.
We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those set out in this Privacy Policy.
AMP House processes personal information on our servers in many countries around the world. We may process your personal information on a server located outside the country where you live.
Transparency and choice
People have different privacy concerns. Our goal is to be clear about what information we collect, so that you can make meaningful choices about how it is used. For example, you can:
Review and control certain types of information tied to your AMP House Account by using AMP House Dashboard.
View and edit your ads preferences about the ads shown to you on AMP House and across the web, such as which categories might interest you, using Ads Settings. You can also opt out of certain AMP House advertising services here.
Use our editor to see and adjust how your AMP House Profile appears to particular individuals.
Control who you share information with.
Take information out of many of our services.
You may also set your browser to block all cookies, including cookies associated with our services or to indicate when a cookie is being set by us. However, it’s important to remember that many of our services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled. For example, we may not remember your language preferences.
Information that you share
Many of our services let you share information with others. Remember that when you share information publicly, it may be indexable by search engines, including AMP House. Our services provide you with different options on sharing and removing your content.
Accessing and updating your personal information
Whenever you use our services, we aim to provide you with access to your personal information. If that information is wrong, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it – unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.
We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for example, developing a new system or fundamentally changing an existing practice), risk the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup systems).
Where we can provide information access and correction, we will do so free of charge, except where it would require a disproportionate effort. We aim to maintain our services in a manner that protects information from accidental or malicious destruction. Because of this, after you delete information from our services, we may not immediately delete residual copies from our active servers and may not remove information from our backup systems.
Information that we share
We do not share personal information with companies, organizations and individuals outside of AMP House unless one of the following circumstances applies:
With your consent
We will share personal information with companies, organisations or individuals outside AMP House when we have your consent to do so. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.
With domain administrators
If your AMP House Account is managed for you by a domain administrator (for example, for AMP House Apps users) then your domain administrator and resellers who provide user support to your organisation will have access to your AMP House Account information (including your emails and other data). Your domain administrator may be able to:
view statistics regarding your account, such as statistics regarding applications that you install.
change your account password.
suspend or terminate your account access.
access or retain information stored as part of your account.
receive your account information in order to satisfy applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
restrict your ability to delete or edit information or privacy settings.
Please refer to your domain administrator’s privacy policy for more information.
When this Privacy Policy applies
Our Privacy Policy applies to all of the services offered by Smart Sport Performance Limited and its affiliates, including services offered on other sites (such as our advertising services), but excludes services with separate privacy policies that do not incorporate this Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy does not apply to services offered by other companies or individuals, including products or sites that may be displayed to you in search results, sites that may include AMP House services or other sites linked from our services. Our Privacy Policy does not cover the information practices of other companies and organisations that advertise our services and that may use cookies, pixel tags and other technologies to serve and offer relevant ads.
Compliance and cooperation with regulatory authorities
We regularly review our compliance with our Privacy Policy. We also adhere to several self-regulatory frameworks. When we receive formal written complaints, we will contact the person who made the complaint to follow up. We work with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that we cannot resolve with our users directly.
Changes
Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Privacy Policy changes). We will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for your review.
