Over 40 people attended the recent launch of “The Town That Love Built – an exclusive collection” featuring special edition prints by Croydon’s celebrated artist, Gavin Kinch, at AMP House in Dingwall Road.
The exclusive collection has been produced by Gavin Kinch to help raise funding for leading London homelessness charity, Evolve Housing + Support.
The exhibition was hosted by AMP House Serviced Offices, in collaboration with Evolve, and provided those attending with an opportunity to meet the artist, buy pieces of art and prints and have a look at the artwork that he has previously created for the Business Centre.
All money raised on the day by the sale of prints from the AMP Collection was donated to Evolve. Further sales from the exclusive collection will also help raise funds, with a fifth of the sale price being donated to the charity.
Sarah Cusack, marketing & lettings manager at AMP House Serviced Offices said: “Gavin’s art is an integral part of our business centre and is much loved by the businesses that call AMP House their home.
“It was a great privilege to host the launch of this exclusive collection and to provide an opportunity for people to meet the man behind this iconic imagery, to hear what inspires him and learn about his passion for Croydon – truly a town that love built,” she added.
Siobhan Doyle of Evolve Housing + Support said: “Without doubt, Gavin is one of the most important artists Croydon has produced in recent years. His enthusiasm and care for the town and its residents is clear and we are honoured that he has chosen to support our work in this way, and to help homeless people in Croydon rebuild their lives.”
The launch event included refreshments supplied by Oatopia from the neighbouring Boxpark.
